Sara’s Sunset

Sara was so natural, this was intended to be a light-test photo, but like so many “tests”, it ended up in the final batch.
This was taken with the Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 – one of the later renditions of the lens. I love how sharp and contrasty this lens is without any tweaking. It’s certainly my favorite portrait lens at this point. I go to it more than my 85mm f/1.8 because the flare is much better. I get more purple fringe with the f/1.8 when blowing out the background. It’s rubbish on white seamless, but a great low-light lens. When I’m doing portraits, I’ll most likely carry around my 20-35 and my 80-200 and not much else.
